Q: They just called me and said she had been playing online bingo or somethign and all of a sudden everythign froze and had to restart. After restarting the log on screen (she has her setup to automatically login, but) when she called she said that it does not click. I got her to reboot and get into safe mode to try and she says it does the same. Any ideas? Any way to do a system restore from safe mode command propmt?

Q: I use WinXP, and I get the loading screen saying that the last boot attempt failed. When I select Normal or last good configuration boot, the system hangs. If I choose Safe Mode, the files begin to load until it attempts to load NTFS.sys and then says there is an error NTFS.sys and I have to use the repair function of Windows Setup.
The problem is that when I boot into the Windows installation, I get a message: “File Setupdd.sys could not be loaded. The error code is 7.”
I'm a Trojan that sits on my machine I have also been identified as good [safe mode] [trojan]

Q: I get this so much . Windows will not let me delete files, because “another program uses it.” Most of the files are media files (mpg does u003e divx conversions) and other media files that are played. I tried safe mode and it will not go away . Safe mode command prompt only appears to work. sorta sucks because some of the files name – afkd.avi “and that indent the console like.

Q: Otherwise I can only in safe mode. When in Safe Mode, I can remove the controller and then reboot into normal mode. But I have to do things the next time I start the post comp.
Please any thoughts you have. I do not expect a single person to have all the answers, of course.

Q: Nortons popped up last night to say the virus was discovered while I download was. It was not in quarantine and the AV log viewer gives “Access Denied” and “Repair Failed”. I could not delete file in windows so I went into safe mode and deleted. Two subsequent scans show no virus. I am a bit concerned because the virus can spread through networks, and I have two machines on this one.
Did Norton to be treated without having to remove or quarantine it?

Can not get rid of a temporary file! [temp file] [safe mode]

Q: I have tried everything in my limited know how to get rid of a temporary file in my Windows Temp folder. I get a message that drive is full or write-protected, which is not the case, or file is used. I have stopped any app running in the background using Contol / Alt / Delete and reboot numerous times and still can not delete. It starts now bother me. Would booting into Safe Mode work? Any other ideas?

Q: In the program files a directory called “Microsoft FrontPage” (all lower case VAT) and inside theres “Version3.0″ and within that “bin”
it theres says its in use and i cannot remove, so I get in safe mode and then get rid of her when I get back in windows are back and i cannot delete . xp pro sp1
