From an ISPs view, what is the advantage of dynamic IP addresses for DSL customers?
The point of DSL (except speed) is always on and unless I restart my computer, my machine is always connected. Although EarthLink has a dynamic IP addresses to me when my DSL modem connection, I actually always using an IP address from them. What is the difference from their perspective if changes periodically and is always the same?
