I recently upgraded my second computer to an AMD Athlon 64 3500 + with a Celeron D 336 to replace. With the parts I have now about to upgrade from earlier I was thinking of upgrading my parents machine u0026 build a machine to my sister.
My parents current config is a P4 2.56ghz w / 1 gig DDR 2100. I do not remember my sisters machine config but the worst was when my parents have.

Q: more and more I look at the price history http://www.sharkextreme.com the more I feel uncomfortable about buying a 3000 + or Athlon 64 3200 +. I waited for a while and already have the parts pretty much pieced together, but I feel I was a week or two waiting for Intel Socket 775 to release their stuff so the new prices before I distribute the CPU to buy . How likely is it for AMD to drop their prices? What prices are mostly abandoned, and how much would these two chips then vary? Does anybody
Q: After installing the AMD Athlon 64 processor, I let the lever but forgot to lock it before I installed the Heatsink.
Could this creates a problem?
Re:Tried clearing the CMOS, reseated BIOS chip, swapped out for good RAM, swapped out for good IDE cables, hooked up a 460W Enermax PSU, nothing worked. All other components were confirmed known functional in another system. Only device possibly faulty is motherboard.
