Best Answer: This is what happens when any new operating system is released, NONE or very few of the APPLICATIONS will work because they all need to be upgraded meaning you have to buy NEW SOFTWARE..
This has happened with Windows 95-98-2000-NT- Millenium -XP-Vista- and now with 7. This is no more than a simple game that requires us, as users to BUY NEW SOFTWARE.

I don't know about free, but I am almost positive there are sFTP gui client for Mac OS X. Search download.com in the Mac section.
