I was wondering if it is possible to get my dialup modem to connect to the Internet, and then somehow be able to get their network environment and file sharing with them the access? They are using Win98 and so am I. Thanks for any help.

How fast is a Gigabit network at home? [video files] [100mb]
Q: I have two PCs connected to a network as I have large video files and my current speed is equal to the transmission got 10 MB / sec. I like the specs properly, installing two gigabit cards and making the network with them, I would be able to get a transfer rate of 100MB/sec. Is this right and has anyone done this? Thank you.

Network transfer speed is really slow. [k7t] [transferring files]
Q: Networking was fine until I built my current machine. Heres my setup: Dell
Number 1:
xpst500

MSI K7T pro
Number 2:
2a
Duron 700 816 977 503 128 @ pc133
10 gig
10/100 netgear NIC
Number 2 is the one I just upgraded. (MB, CPU). I see both good machines and multiplay is fine, just transferring files from # 1 to # 2 is very slow. Do not try # 2 to # 1. Lasted 15 min to 7 meg move. Wond
